Equipment & Products we recommend
Pressure Washer
Rinsing with just a hose will likely result in scratching your paint during the contact wash. Most domestic pressure washers are more than suitable for the job, such as the below:
Snow Foam Lance
Required to spray the snow foam onto the vehicle during the pre-wash stage.
The product linked below fits Kärcher pressure washers and any other pressure washer with universal 1/4″ quick-release.
Grit-Guarded Buckets
£1 buckets from Halfords will do the trick, however, for ultra-safe cleaning, see the links below.
We recommend three buckets and up to three grit guards.
Snow Foam Solution
Used in the pre-wash stage to loosen dirt & grime from your paint’s surface before the contact wash stage.
PH-neutral and free of waxes & gloss enhancers.
Car Shampoo
A slick shampoo used in the contact wash stages.
PH-neutral and free of waxes & gloss enhancers.
Wheel Cleaner
A dilutable wheel cleaning solution to loosen brake dust from wheels & tyres.
Non-acidic and free of waxes & gloss enhancers.
Note: Spray bottle required.
Bug Remover
Recommended, but not essential.
Aids the removal of those pesky bug splats from your vehicle’s front-end.
Wheel Barrel Brush
Recommended for all other types of wheel finish, including matte/satin.
Used to clean the wheel barrels.
Wheel Barrel Whoolie
Recommended for gloss black wheels to prevent scratching the gloss finish.
Used to clean the wheel barrels.
Ultra-Soft Wheel Brush
Recommended, but not essential.
Useful for cleaning wheel nuts and callipers.
Tyre Scrubber
Recommended, but not essential.
Microfibre Wash Mitt
Essential for safe and effective cleaning of the upper sections, lower sections, and wheels.
We recommend three wash mitts.
Spray Bottles
You’ll need a spray bottle to mix the wheel cleaning solution.
Below is a pack of three, handy as you develop your car-cleaning product arsenal.
Bodywork Drying Towel
Do not use ‘leather shammies’ as these will scratch your paint.
Instead, use a professional drying towel such as the one linked below.
Wheel & Door Shut Towel
It is important that you keep your bodywork drying towel free of engrained dirt and grit.
Which is why a separate drying towel is necessary for the door shuts and wheels.
